About the game
Carcassonne: Winter Edition brings a snowy makeover to the familiar Carcassonne setting, with knights, farmers, and highwaymen navigating a wintry landscape. It plays exactly like the base Carcassonne game, using the same 72 tiles plus twelve new basic tiles for extra variety. Some print runs include a bonus Gingerbread Man expansion, and a later release adds The River expansion as well. It's a cozy, seasonal spin on the classic tile-laying formula.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli sees this mostly as a beautifully themed reskin: if you already own Carcassonne, this won't reinvent your experience, but the winter aesthetic makes it a lovely seasonal or gift edition. New players will find it just as approachable as the original. A nice pick for holiday game nights specifically.
