About the game
Carcassonne is a classic tile-placement game in which players draw and place tiles depicting cities, roads, cloisters, and fields, building up the French countryside one piece at a time. After placing a tile, you may deploy a meeple to claim a feature, scoring points once it's completed. Quick turns and simple rules make it endlessly replayable, and its farmer scoring adds a layer of long-term strategic tension.
Hobbli's Notes
Carcassonne is the gateway tile-layer that introduced a generation of players to modern board gaming, and it still holds up beautifully today. The tension of deciding whether to expand your own city or block an opponent's never gets old, and the game's short length means it's always easy to squeeze in another round.
