About the game
Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition is an epic game of galactic conquest for three to six players, each commanding one of seventeen wildly asymmetric factions. Through military might, political maneuvering, and economic bargaining, players fight for control of Mecatol Rex and the galaxy around it. The board is built fresh from modular tiles each game, so no two sessions look alike. Sessions commonly run a full day or more, culminating in one player crowned ruler of the galaxy.
Hobbli's Notes
Twilight Imperium is the quintessential epic 4X board game, offering a scope and depth few titles can match. It rewards a dedicated group willing to invest a marathon session in diplomacy, economy, and war. The asymmetric factions and modular galaxy give it enormous variety across plays. It is a massive undertaking, but for the right group it delivers one of the most memorable experiences in board gaming.
