About the game

Frosthaven is a standalone sequel to Gloomhaven, set in a remote outpost struggling to survive harsh weather and dangerous new threats. A group of mercenaries must fight off attacks while helping rebuild the settlement, expanding it with new buildings over time. It introduces sixteen new characters, three new races, over one hundred new items, and a 100-scenario campaign. Characters and items are compatible with Gloomhaven, and it adds new systems like crafting and seasonal events.

Hobbli's Notes

Frosthaven is an even more ambitious evolution of the beloved Gloomhaven formula, layering settlement building, item crafting, and seasonal events onto the acclaimed tactical combat system. It consistently ranks among the highest-rated games on BGG for good reason, offering enormous scope and longevity. That scale comes with a major commitment in price, space, and setup time, so it is best suited to groups who already know they love the Gloomhaven style.
