About the game
Sky Team is a tense two-player cooperative game where one of you flies the plane and the other co-pilots, working together to land safely at airports around the world. Each round, you secretly and silently assign dice to cockpit systems, controlling speed, flaps, landing gear, and radio contact, before revealing your choices together. Communication is deliberately limited, so success depends on developing shared instincts with your partner rather than simply talking through every move. Each airport brings its own hazards, from turbulence to crowded airspace, ramping up the challenge as you progress. It's a quick, high-tension puzzle built specifically for two players.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team loves how much tension this squeezes out of a compact, twenty-minute play time. The silent dice-placement mechanic makes every landing feel like a genuine team achievement rather than a solved puzzle. It's strictly a two-player game, so it won't fit larger groups, but for a duo it's one of the best cooperative experiences available. A fantastic choice for date nights or quick two-player sessions.
What we like
- Unique silent dice-placement mechanic creates real cooperative tension.
- Short playtime makes it easy to fit into any evening.
- Scales nicely from beginner-friendly airports to expert-level challenges.
- Strong sense of shared achievement when a landing goes well.
Keep in mind
- Strictly limited to two players, so it won't work for larger groups.
- Long-term variety depends on collecting more airport scenarios.
- Dice luck can occasionally undercut careful planning.
