About the game

Fractured Sky is a strategy game of area control and blind bidding set in a fantastical floating sky kingdom, where players secretly deploy magnetic airships to claim territory. You'll decide whether to commit a powerful show of force to key regions or spread your armies thin to disguise your true intentions. Buildings and secret intel purchased with resources give lasting advantages, including foreknowledge of where valuable starfall tokens will land. Outmaneuvering opponents through clever bidding and deduction is the key to claiming the most starfall and winning.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team enjoys the tension of Fractured Sky's blind-bidding system, which forces players to balance bold commitment against careful misdirection. The deduction layer around starfall token placement adds an extra puzzle for players who like to plan several steps ahead. It's a fresh take on area-majority games thanks to its bidding-driven deployment rather than simple placement. We think fans of hidden-information strategy games will find a lot to like here, though as a newer title its long-term standing is still developing.

What we like

  • Blind bidding creates constant tension and bluffing opportunities.
  • Deduction elements around starfall tokens add strategic depth.
  • Attractive fantasy sky-kingdom theme and airship components.
  • Scales from solo play up to five players.

Keep in mind

  • As a newer release, comparisons to established classics are still forming.
  • Bidding mechanics may create analysis paralysis for some groups.
  • Moderate playtime of 75 minutes may run long for casual groups.

Who it's for

Best for strategy gamers aged 14+ who enjoy area-majority conflict, bluffing, and blind bidding in groups of up to 5.
