About the game

In Alice's Garden, you help arrange a royal garden in Wonderland by placing Tetris-style polyomino tiles depicting flowers, trees, and chess pieces onto your own player board. Every tile you place must satisfy the Queen's fussy requirements, from spacing trees apart to clustering the showiest rose bushes. The round ends the moment a player can no longer fit a tile from the supply, and whoever has scored the most points wins. It's a light, puzzly game of spatial planning wrapped in a charming Alice-in-Wonderland theme. Solo rules are included, so you can perfect your garden even without a full table.

Hobbli's Notes

This is a cozy, low-friction puzzle that plays fast and looks lovely on the table. The Tetris-style tile fitting gives it a satisfying 'just one more tile' pull without demanding heavy strategic overhead. It won't wow dedicated strategy gamers, but as a relaxed filler or family opener it does its job with charm to spare. The solo mode is a nice bonus for players who want to noodle on the puzzle alone.

What we like

  • Satisfying Tetris-style tile-fitting puzzle.
  • Includes a solid solo mode for one-player games.
  • Charming Alice in Wonderland theme and artwork.
  • Quick to teach and quick to play at around 45 minutes.
  • Scales comfortably from 1 to 4 players.

Keep in mind

  • Player interaction is limited since everyone builds on their own board.
  • Tile draw luck can occasionally hamper your plans.
  • Strategic depth is light, which may not satisfy heavier gamers.

Who it's for

Great for families, casual puzzle-game fans, and solo players aged 8 and up who enjoy spatial tile-fitting games in the vein of Patchwork or Cottage Garden.
