About the game

Second Chance is a fast, elegant grid-filling puzzle game by Uwe Rosenberg, playable in about 15 minutes. Each player starts with a 9x9 grid and races to fill it as completely as possible using shapes revealed on shared puzzle tile cards, marking off matching spaces each turn. If a shape can't fit, a player gets one final "second chance" draw before risking elimination. The game ends when everyone is eliminated, the deck runs out, or someone fills their grid completely, with the fewest empty spaces determining the winner in tie situations. It's an ultra-light, quick spatial puzzle for up to six players.

Hobbli's Notes

Second Chance is a lean, no-frills puzzle game that delivers satisfying Tetris-like spatial thinking in a tiny footprint and time commitment. Its ultra-low complexity makes it a great warm-up or closer for a game night, and the player-elimination twist adds just enough tension to keep things interesting. As a Rosenberg design, it's much lighter than his famous heavy Eurogames, appealing to a very different audience. It's an easy, portable pick for families or as a quick filler between bigger games.
