About the game

Twice as Clever! is a roll-and-write follow-up to That's Pretty Clever, where players roll six dice each turn and choose one to mark off a space on their personal scoring sheet. Lower-value dice are set aside for other players to use, while the active player can chain up to three choices with re-rolls before passing options along. Five new dice-marking challenges and a fresh bonus action add extra tactical layers on top of the original formula. It's a quick, brain-teasing puzzle that plays great solo or with a full table.

Hobbli's Notes

Twice as Clever keeps the addictive 'just one more round' pull of the original That's Pretty Clever while adding enough new puzzle categories to feel fresh. It's become one of our go-to recommendations for groups who want something quick and cerebral without any real conflict.

What we like

  • Quick to teach and typically finishes within 30 minutes.
  • Satisfying dice-optimization puzzle with meaningful choices each turn.
  • Excellent solo mode alongside solid multiplayer play.
  • New challenges and actions keep it feeling distinct from the original.

Keep in mind

  • Limited direct interaction between players beyond shared dice.
  • Can feel similar to That's Pretty Clever for owners of that game.
  • Some luck from dice rolls affects available options each turn.

Who it's for
