About the game

Onirim (Second Edition) is a solo or two-player cooperative card game where you play a Dreamwalker trying to escape a labyrinth of dreams before time runs out. You explore chambers by playing cards from your hand, seeking to collect eight Door cards while avoiding the Nightmares hidden throughout the deck. Doors are earned by matching colors three turns in a row or by discarding powerful Key cards at the right moment. Seven modular mini-expansions let you dial the difficulty and variety up or down to suit your mood.

Hobbli's Notes

Onirim remains one of the tightest, most elegant solo card games around, with just enough hand-management tension to stay engaging without overstaying its short playtime. The modular expansions are a great touch, letting you customize challenge level without needing a whole new game. It's a perfect pick for travel or a quick solo session between heavier games.

What we like

  • Excellent, quick solo experience with minimal setup.
  • Elegant hand-management and card-matching puzzle.
  • Numerous modular expansions add long-term variety.
  • Small, portable box ideal for travel.

Keep in mind

  • Limited to one or two players.
  • Thematic abstraction is light, mostly a card-matching puzzle underneath.
  • Card draw luck can swing difficulty significantly.

Who it's for

Perfect for solo players or duos aged 10+ who want a quick, elegant card game with light push-your-luck tension.
