About the game
Under Falling Skies is a solo dice-placement game where you defend a besieged city from an alien invasion fleet. Every action you take is powered by placing a die of a chosen value: bigger numbers give stronger effects, but they also make enemy ships descend faster toward your base. You'll expand your underground bunker, shoot down ships, deploy robot workers, and manage energy and research, all while the looming mothership counts down the clock. Across a multi-mission campaign, your choices carry consequences into future scenarios. It's a tense, tightly-designed solo experience that packs real tension into forty minutes.
Hobbli's Notes
This is a standout solo game: the dice-placement mechanic where higher rolls help you but also speed up the alien threat creates constant, meaningful tension. Missions are short enough to fit into a lunch break but still demand careful planning. The campaign structure adds welcome variety across plays. Highly recommended for solo gamers looking for a compact, thematic challenge.
