About the game
Tsuro is an elegant tile-laying game where players extend winding paths across a board, trying to keep their token in play as long as possible. Each turn you place a tile in front of your token and slide along the resulting path, sometimes into safety and sometimes into another player's route or off the board entirely. As the grid fills up, choices become tighter and the fates of all players intertwine. Its light Asian-inspired theme sits atop what plays essentially as an abstract strategy game. Games are fast, tense, and easy to pick up regardless of age or experience.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team appreciates Tsuro as one of the cleanest 'easy to learn, hard to master' designs on the market. The simultaneous interaction between all players' paths creates surprisingly sharp decisions hidden behind simple rules. It's a fantastic choice for mixed-age or mixed-experience groups looking for something calm yet mentally engaging. A lovely quiet classic that never overstays its welcome.
