About the game
Evenfall is a card-driven engine-building game set during a supernatural convergence where Clans of Magic send Witches to claim Places of Power across a fractured world. Players chain actions using multi-use cards, execute worker-placement-style moves in careful order, and pursue synergies between cards and actions to generate victory points. Over three rounds, you'll manage resources, battle for the favor of the Powerstones, and vie for the single seat on the Enchanted Throne. It's a rules-rich fantasy engine-builder for 1-4 players.
Hobbli's Notes
Evenfall rewards players who like puzzling out efficient turn orders and card synergies, with its chaining and multi-use card systems offering plenty of aha engine-building moments. The three-round structure keeps the game tight despite its complexity, though the fantasy theme is mostly a backdrop for the mechanisms. A solid choice for engine-building fans looking for a fresh fantasy card-driven design.
