About the game
Mindbug: Beyond Eternity is a standalone expansion to the fast, tactical dueling card game Mindbug, playable on its own or combined with First Contact or Beyond Evolution. Two players summon hybrid creatures to battle, but the signature Mindbug twist lets your opponent steal a creature you play if they choose to use one of their Mindbugs. This set adds a new Boost ability, letting players pull power from cards in their own graveyard, plus creatures with effects that trigger even after they're defeated. A full duel takes about 25 minutes, delivering deep tactical decisions in a small, portable package.
Hobbli's Notes
Mindbug earned its reputation by combining an incredibly simple rule set with real strategic depth, and Beyond Eternity's graveyard-based Boost mechanic is a smart way to keep that formula fresh. The mind-game element of deciding when to use your Mindbugs, and bluffing about which creatures you'll protect, never gets old. At 25 minutes, it's an easy game to play multiple rounds of in a single sitting. This is a great pick for two-player game nights or a quick match at a pub or cafe.
