About the game

Agropolis is a standalone expansion to Sprawlopolis that brings the same card-laying, variable-scoring gameplay to a rural farming setting for 1-4 players. Players draw three goal cards and take turns placing cards from an 18-card deck to build a tableau of orchards, wheat fields, livestock pens, vineyards, and roads that best satisfies those goals. New gameplay features help balance overly powerful scoring combos and add extra depth of terrain interaction while keeping the original's signature elegance, and it can even combine with Sprawlopolis using the Combopolis mini-expansion.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editors love how Agropolis packs a satisfying puzzle into just 18 cards, making it a perfect travel companion or solo game. The varying goal cards ensure genuinely different tableaus each time, keeping the tiny box remarkably replayable. Player interaction is minimal, so it's better suited to solo or low-key cooperative play than a competitive group game.

What we like

  • Tiny 18-card footprint is perfect for travel.
  • High replayability through varying goal card combinations.
  • Works great solo, cooperatively, or standalone.
  • Quick setup and a short, satisfying playtime.

Keep in mind

  • Minimal direct player interaction in multiplayer.
  • Abstract farmland tableau may feel repetitive over time.
  • Print-and-play format keeps production value modest.

Who it's for

Great for solo players and small groups of up to four who enjoy compact, portable puzzle games with a relaxed farming theme.
