About the game

In Habitats, players build sprawling wildlife parks tile by tile, matching each of 68 different animals to the grassland, bush, rock, or water habitats they need to thrive. On a turn you shift your figure along a row of available tiles, adding new landscape and animals to your growing park while trying to satisfy every creature's requirements. Three seasons each bring fresh tiles and scoring goals, with bonus points for whoever best meets that season's challenge. At game's end, points come from how well each animal's habitat needs were fulfilled.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's team finds Habitats a satisfying puzzle of spatial planning, as tiles you place to help one animal can just as easily sabotage another's requirements. The gradual difficulty ramp across three seasons keeps the tension rising nicely. It's a lovely tile-laying game for animal lovers who enjoy tight pattern-building puzzles.
