About the game

Kingdomino Duel is a fast, two-player standalone spin-off of the beloved Kingdomino, designed by Bruno Cathala and Ludovic Maublanc. Instead of drafting tiles, players roll and pair dice to build custom dominoes that expand their kingdom. Favor tokens let you cast spells that bend the rules in your favor, adding a layer of strategic spice. Games wrap up quickly, in about 20 minutes, making it perfect for a fast head-to-head match.

Hobbli's Notes

We appreciate how this duel version distills Kingdomino's map-building charm into a tighter, more confrontational two-player experience. The dice-pairing puzzle adds a fresh decision point while still feeling instantly familiar to Kingdomino fans. It's light enough for family play but has enough push-and-pull to satisfy a quick strategic itch. A nice pickup for couples or parent-child duos.

What we like

  • Quick setup and short 20-minute playtime.
  • Clever dice-pairing puzzle adds fresh strategy.
  • Accessible to Kingdomino fans and newcomers alike.
  • Compact and great for travel.

Keep in mind

  • Only supports exactly two players.
  • Less territory-building depth than the original Kingdomino.
  • Luck of the dice can frustrate strategy-focused players.

Who it's for

Great for ages 8+ pairs, including families and casual gamers looking for a light, quick two-player strategy game.
