About the game

Dice Throne: Season Two is a head-to-head combat game where two players pick unique heroes, roll custom dice to activate abilities, and spend combat points on cards that buff, debuff, and manipulate the fight. This standalone entry introduces the Tactician and Huntress alongside other new heroes, each with sharply different playstyles and win conditions. Players build up status effects, upgrades, and combos to whittle down their opponent's health before they do the same to you. It's a tight, tactical dueling game with a strong RPG-battle feel.

Hobbli's Notes

Dice Throne consistently nails the feeling of a strategic superhero duel, and Season Two's roster adds welcome variety to the matchups. Each hero plays distinctly enough that learning new match-ups feels fresh rather than repetitive. It's a fantastic two-player game night option for couples or friends who like a bit of competitive edge. Just know you'll likely want more hero boxes eventually to unlock the full roster of matchups.

What we like

  • Each hero feels mechanically distinct and well-themed.
  • Fast-paced combat keeps tension high throughout.
  • Stands alone for 2 players without needing other boxes.
  • Deep card and dice interactions reward tactical planning.

Keep in mind

  • Requires additional hero boxes to play with more than two players.
  • Can feel swingy when dice rolls go against you.
  • Learning all of a hero's cards and abilities takes a few plays.

Who it's for

Great for two players aged 8 and up who enjoy competitive dice-and-card combat games.
