About the game

Overbooked thrusts players into the chaos of airline booking, managing competing airlines and trying to satisfy each passenger's unique needs. Each turn you draft a passenger card specifying orientation, quantity, and type, then seat those passengers on your plane accordingly. Book too few and your flight underperforms; book too many and passengers grow unhappy. The game ends when any passenger type runs out, and whoever satisfied the most passengers wins.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team finds Overbooked to be a tidy little puzzle - the seating constraints create surprisingly tricky spatial decisions in a short 40-minute package. It's an easy teach that still rewards careful pattern thinking. A nice light-to-mid filler for a quick game night.

What we like

  • Clever pattern-based seating puzzle keeps decisions interesting.
  • Quick 40-minute playtime fits easily into any game night.
  • Includes a solo mode for practicing on your own.
  • Light rules make it accessible for families.

Keep in mind

  • Airline theme is fairly abstract despite the setting.
  • Direct player interaction is fairly limited.
  • Can feel repetitive after many plays.

Who it's for

Good for families with kids age 8+ and casual puzzle-game fans, playable solo or in groups up to four.
