About the game

Brass: Lancashire, first published simply as Brass, tells the story of competing cotton entrepreneurs during the Industrial Revolution. Players build canals and railways, develop industries, and sell cotton to capitalize on shifting demand for iron, coal, and cotton. The game unfolds over a canal phase and a rail phase, with turn order determined by how much each player spent the previous round. The Roxley reprint updates the components and adds refined two- and three-player rules.

Hobbli's Notes

Brass: Lancashire is the original Brass, a beloved economic strategy classic given new life with updated art and refined rules in its modern reprint. It is slightly more forgiving than its sequel, Brass: Birmingham, but keeps the same tight, rewarding tension around network building and resource timing. It remains a superb choice for groups who want the classic Brass experience with modern production quality.
