About the game
Sagrada is a dice-drafting and pattern-building game where players act as stained glass artisans, carefully selecting and placing colored dice to build a beautiful window. Each round dice are drafted around the table, with placement restricted by color, shade, and adjacency rules. Scoring combines public and private objectives, rewarding clever placement and color variety. With gorgeous glass-like dice and a quick 45-minute playtime, it's an easy game to get to the table often.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team loves how Sagrada turns a simple dice draft into a genuinely tense spatial puzzle - every die you take denies an option to an opponent. The production quality (the dice really do look like stained glass) sells it as a gift, and the tool cards add just enough variability to keep replays fresh. It's one of our go-to recommendations for players who think they don't like heavy strategy games.
What we like
- Quick to teach and play in under an hour.
- Gorgeous glass-dice components make it a great gift.
- Rewards clever spatial planning without heavy rules overhead.
- Solo mode included for practicing patterns.
- Variable player boards and objectives add replayability.
Keep in mind
- Luck of the dice draft can occasionally sour a plan.
- Limited player interaction beyond drafting.
- Some may find the puzzle repetitive over many plays.
Who it's for
Great for ages 10+, casual and puzzle-loving gamers, and groups of 2-4 who want a beautiful, low-conflict game night filler.
