About the game
Titan is a classic fantasy wargame in which players command legions of mythical creatures across a hex-based masterboard, seeking to recruit ever-more-powerful monsters and eliminate rival armies. When legions clash, combat resolves on detailed battleboards themed to the terrain, with dice determining the outcome of each mythical duel. Victorious legions bring home points used to recruit Angels and Archangels and to power up each player's titular leader, the Titan. As Titans grow stronger, they become nearly unstoppable in combat: but if your Titan falls, you're eliminated from the game. The last Titan standing claims total victory.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team recognizes Titan as a true hobby classic with decades of devoted fans, and its dual masterboard/battleboard structure remains a clever piece of design. The deep strategic layers around legion building and Titan growth reward experienced wargamers who don't mind a long, four-hour session. It's a heavier, more old-school title that can feel intimidating to newcomers unfamiliar with its era of design. Groups who love long, competitive fantasy combat games will find a lot to sink their teeth into.
