About the game
Tsuro of the Seas expands on the classic tile-laying game Tsuro with a nautical twist: players guide ships across a 7x7 grid by laying wake tiles that form ever-expanding paths. The last ship still sailing on the board wins, but now sea monster "daikaiju" tiles can move and destroy wakes, ships, or each other, adding chaotic new danger to every turn. Dice rolls determine whether and how the daikaiju move, keeping tension high right until someone gets swept off the board. It's a simple, family-friendly game that scales up to eight players.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team finds Tsuro of the Seas a great evolution of the original Tsuro formula, injecting just enough chaos with the daikaiju to keep veteran players on their toes. It's wonderfully easy to teach to kids and casual players while still holding some spatial-planning depth for sharper minds. The nautical monster theme adds fun table presence without complicating the rules. A great pick for large mixed-age groups.
