About the game

Labyrinth (originally The aMAZEing Labyrinth) is a classic maze-building game where players shift tiles in and out of a shifting board to open new paths toward hidden treasures. Each turn, you slide an extra tile into a row, pushing the maze's layout in your favor, or an opponent's, before racing your pawn toward your next goal. Whoever collects all their treasures first and returns home wins.

Hobbli's Notes

We regard Labyrinth as a timeless family classic that still holds up decades after its release, thanks to its simple, tactile tile-sliding mechanic. It's approachable enough for young children yet leaves room for more calculating players to plan several moves ahead. The 20-minute runtime and low complexity make it an easy, reliable pick for mixed-age game nights.

What we like

  • Simple sliding-tile mechanic is easy for kids to grasp.
  • Quick 20-minute playtime suits family game nights.
  • Shifting maze keeps every game different.
  • Rewards both luck and forward planning.

Keep in mind

  • Limited strategic depth for adult gamers.
  • Younger players may struggle with planning ahead.
  • Randomized tile draws can frustrate focused plans.

Who it's for
