About the game
Thunderbolt-Apache Leader puts players in command of a squadron of U.S. Close Air Support aircraft across eight historically grounded campaigns spanning the globe. Mission planning is central, requiring careful decisions on aircraft loadouts and which pilots to fly based on skill level, fatigue, and experience gained. Combat resolves through an area movement system layered with terrain cards that block lines of sight, while enemy SAMs, AAA, and bandits create constant threats to manage. It's a deep solitaire wargame from Dan Verssen Games rewarding careful planning and calculated risk over many missions.
Hobbli's Notes
