About the game

In King of Tokyo, you play giant monsters, robots, and aliens battling for control of Tokyo. Rolling six dice across three throws, you'll choose to collect victory points, gain energy, heal, or attack rivals, all in a Yahtzee-style push-your-luck system. Occupying Tokyo earns bonus points but leaves you unable to heal, forcing a constant risk-reward calculation. Buy special power cards with energy to unleash wild abilities, and be the first to reach 20 victory points or the last monster standing to win.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's team loves King of Tokyo as one of the best gateway dice games, combining simple push-your-luck mechanics with a fun, chaotic monster theme. It's fast, loud, and endlessly replayable thanks to its randomized power cards. A perfect pick for family game night or as a light filler between heavier games.
