About the game
The Resistance is a fast-paced social deduction game for five to ten players with no player elimination. Players are secretly Resistance Operatives or Imperial Spies, and over several rounds they must vote on and carry out missions while trying to sniff out who among them is secretly sabotaging the cause. Discussion, accusation, and bluffing drive every decision, since votes and mission outcomes are the only real information available. It's a tense, talkative party game where trust, and the loss of it, decides the outcome.
Hobbli's Notes
The Resistance remains one of the tightest social deduction designs around specifically because there's no elimination: everyone stays engaged and arguing until the very end. It genuinely shines with a big, chatty group willing to accuse each other freely.
What we like
- Quick to teach with no player elimination, keeping everyone involved.
- Scales well from five players up to a full table of ten.
- High replayability driven entirely by group dynamics and bluffing.
- Encourages lively table talk and social deduction.
Keep in mind
- Needs a genuinely talkative group to really come alive.
- Strong, dominant personalities can steer outcomes disproportionately.
- Quieter or newer players can struggle to keep pace with accusations.
Who it's for
Great for ages 13+ social groups of 5-10 who enjoy bluffing, accusation, and lively table talk.
