About the game

Talisman: Revised 4th Edition is a sprawling roll-and-move fantasy adventure where players choose from 14 distinct characters and journey through outer, middle, and inner worlds. Along the way they gather equipment, spells, and companions, battle monsters and each other, and work toward earning the Crown of Command. Once a player claims the Crown, the others must race to stop them before they're eliminated by its power. It's a long, luck-driven, deeply nostalgic fantasy experience with a huge cast of character archetypes.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's team sees Talisman as a beloved nostalgic classic that thrives on casual, chaotic fun rather than tight strategy. The variety of characters and encounters keeps things fresh even in long sessions, but the heavy dice reliance and lengthy downtime can test modern gamers' patience. It's best enjoyed by groups embracing the ride rather than optimizing for a win.
