About the game
Arkham Horror is a classic cooperative adventure set in H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. Players choose from sixteen investigators and roam 1920s Arkham, closing interdimensional gates, battling monsters, and gathering gear, allies, and spells before an Ancient One awakens. With a huge scope of content and variable threats, every campaign against the encroaching horror feels different, culminating in a climactic battle to save the world.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team regards Arkham Horror as a foundational cooperative adventure game, beloved for its immersive Lovecraftian atmosphere and huge amount of narrative content. It's a long, sprawling experience that rewards groups willing to invest a full evening, though its age shows in some clunky bookkeeping compared to newer Arkham Files games. Still, for horror-adventure fans, it remains a treasured classic.
