About the game
Neuroshima Hex is a fast-playing tile-laying combat game set in the post-apocalyptic Neuroshima universe, where 2-4 players command one of several asymmetric armies fighting for survival. Instead of a traditional board, players place hexagonal tiles representing units, support cards, and special actions to build a battle line, then trigger a chain of attacks to damage or destroy enemy headquarters. Wins can come from wiping out the enemy or having the least-damaged headquarters when the tile supply runs out. Its compact, portable format and deep tactical puzzle have made it a cult favorite since 2006.
Hobbli's Notes
Neuroshima Hex packs an incredible amount of tactical depth into a small box and a 30-minute playtime. Each army has a genuinely distinct playstyle, and the tile-placement puzzle of setting up devastating attack chains is endlessly satisfying to master. It's a shame there's no proper solo bot, since the game shines brightest in tense head-to-head duels. A fantastic portable option for gamers who love sharp tactical puzzles.
