About the game
In Dragonkeepers, you play a rival magician competing to herd dragons using cards drawn from a shared "Magic Book" made of two stacks. Each card taken shifts what dragons can be herded next, but you can cast spells and return cards to the Book to twist the situation back in your favor. The challenge lies in deciding which of your hard-won dragons you can afford to sacrifice for a well-timed spell. It's a light, quick-playing set-collection game with a whimsical fantasy theme.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team enjoys Dragonkeepers as a snappy filler with just enough push-and-pull to stay interesting across repeat plays. The tension of deciding whether to hoard your dragons or spend them on spells creates neat little decision points each turn. Michael Menzel's charming artwork adds a lot of table appeal for a game this short. A solid light game for family and casual game nights.
