About the game
In Mistwind, players lead a trade company across the newly explored Mistwind Islands, training transport whales to ferry cargo and expand trade networks between bustling port cities. Using a clever action-disk system where you must discard one option each round, players gather resources, build outposts, and fulfill delivery contracts to satisfy the demands of neighboring nations. Across just four fast-moving rounds, points come from completed network contracts, cargo deliveries, and regional majority control. Designed by Adrian Adamescu and Daryl Andrews, it's a mid-weight network-building game for 1-5 players.
Hobbli's Notes
Mistwind's forced-discard action-disk system is a clever twist that keeps every round tense: losing access to one of your five options each round means real trade-offs rather than simply doing everything eventually. The whimsical whale-transport theme and tight four-round structure make it a satisfying, focused network builder.
