About the game
Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game brings the beloved co-op mining game to the tabletop, casting one to four players as dwarf miners, Scout, Engineer, Gunner, and Driller, sent deep beneath a hostile alien planet. Together, players explore modular cave tiles, mine valuable minerals, and fend off swarms of aggressive Glyphid creatures using dice-based combat. Each class brings unique tools and abilities that must be combined to survive and meet the mining quota before time runs out. With scenario-based missions and strong solo support, it faithfully recreates the frantic, cooperative energy of the video game.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team is impressed by how well this adaptation channels the tense, cooperative feeling of always chasing one more objective from the source video game. The class-based variable powers create genuine teamwork, since each dwarf covers different needs during a mission. Its 150-minute playtime and moderate complexity make it a substantial commitment best suited for dedicated co-op fans. Solo players get a nicely supported experience too, which is a welcome bonus for this genre.
