About the game
Space Alert is a real-time cooperative game where players crew a small spaceship scanning dangerous sectors of the galaxy for just 10 real-time minutes per mission. As a soundtrack narrates approaching threats, players must quickly agree who handles which task, moving through the ship, firing weapons, distributing energy, and launching missiles in real time. Only well-coordinated teamwork lets the crew survive and make the jump home. Designed by Vlaada Chvátil, it offers huge variability and difficulty scaling for 1 to 5 players. A full mission, including setup, takes about 30 minutes.
Hobbli's Notes
There's nothing quite like the frantic energy of Space Alert. The real-time planning under a ticking soundtrack creates genuine, memorable chaos that few other cooperative games can match.
What we like
