About the game
In Marrakesh, two to four competing families vie to become the city's new Obermufti through skillful use of assistants and resources across three rounds. Each turn, players secretly choose colored cylinders and place them into a randomizing cube tower, then use the cylinders that emerge to activate regions and generate wealth and influence. Simultaneous selection keeps the game moving quickly despite its depth. It's a dense Stefan Feld euro layered with the unpredictability of the classic cube tower mechanism.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli enjoys how the cube tower injects real unpredictability into what would otherwise be a very controlled Feld euro, creating tense moments as cylinders emerge unexpectedly. It's a satisfying mid-heavy design for fans of Feld's dense, interlocking scoring systems.
