About the game
Small World of Warcraft reimagines the classic Small World formula in the fantasy universe of Azeroth, pitting the Alliance against the Horde in a fight for a world too small for everyone. Choose combos of races and special powers, like Portal Mage Pandarens or Herbalist Goblins, and expand across the map, defeating weaker foes along the way. When your race is stretched too thin, put it into decline and bring in a fresh one. It's the same brilliant push-your-luck territory game, now dressed in beloved Warcraft lore.
Hobbli's Notes
Small World of Warcraft takes an already-great formula and adds a layer of nostalgia for Warcraft fans without changing what makes Small World tick. The race-and-power combinations remain wonderfully chaotic and full of 'just one more turn' energy. A great gateway game for licensed-IP fans who might not otherwise try Euro-style area control.
What we like
- Beloved Small World formula combined with fan-favorite Warcraft lore.
- Huge variety of race and power combinations for replayability.
- Accessible rules make it easy to teach new players.
- Clever decline mechanic keeps the game moving and fair.
Keep in mind
- Licensed theme may feel like a reskin to those who own the original Small World.
- Some player elimination-adjacent frustration from aggressive conquest.
- Downtime can build with five players.
Who it's for
Great for families and casual gamers (10+) in groups of 2-5, especially fans of Warcraft and light area-control games.
