About the game
The 7th Citadel is a sprawling cooperative exploration and adventure game from the creators of The 7th Continent, set in a post-apocalyptic medieval fantasy world. Players take on the role of an escaped slave-gardener fleeing the Citadel of the Necrodruid Ninidazir, only to be confronted by a far greater threat looming over the land. The board is revealed gradually through numbered terrain and event cards, letting players freely explore, interact with inhabitants, and rebuild a city as a sign of hope. Choices made throughout the unfolding scenarios carry consequences that shape the path to an epic finale. It's designed to be played across many sessions as a long-form narrative campaign, solo or cooperatively.
Hobbli's Notes
The 7th Citadel delivers the same immersive, card-based open-world exploration that made The 7th Continent a cult favorite, with meaningful choices that genuinely shape the story. It's an enormous time commitment best suited to a group willing to return to the same campaign over weeks or months. The solo experience is especially strong for players who want a rich narrative adventure without needing a group. Best reserved for patient adventure-game enthusiasts rather than a one-off game night.
