About the game
KeyForge: Worlds Collide is the third age of Richard Garfield's groundbreaking Unique Deck Game, introducing two brand-new Houses and 284 new cards into the existing card pool. Every deck in KeyForge is algorithmically generated and completely unique, so no two players ever hold the same cards. The two-player starter set includes everything needed to jump into a duel: two Worlds Collide Archon decks, a quickstart rulebook, playmats, and all the keys and tokens required. Players race to forge three keys before their opponent by generating Æmber and playing cards from their single House at a time.
Hobbli's Notes
KeyForge remains one of the most elegant head-to-head card games around: no deckbuilding, just pure tactical play with the hand you're dealt. Worlds Collide's new Houses add welcome variety to the card pool without disrupting the format's core appeal. It's a fantastic pick for a quick, competitive two-player duel that never plays out the same way twice.
What we like
- Every deck is uniquely generated, so no two games feel the same.
- There's no deckbuilding required, making it fast to pick up and play.
- New Houses and cards refresh the format while keeping the core rules intact.
- The 45-minute playtime makes for a satisfying, self-contained duel.
Keep in mind
- It's strictly a two-player experience.
- Because decks aren't customizable, some players may feel less ownership over their strategy.
- Card pool variance means some decks are simply stronger than others.
Who it's for
