About the game

Foundations of Rome casts you as an ambitious architect competing to own land and construct magnificent structures across the growing city of Rome. Build domus and insulae, fountains, and foundries to increase your renown, earning glory for yourself and the empire with each completed building. On your turn you'll purchase a new lot, construct a building in the shared city, or collect income, with civic buildings scoring based on the buildings around them too. Featuring 96 detailed miniatures, it's a visually striking city-building game with approachable rules.

Hobbli's Notes

Foundations of Rome offers a satisfying, tactile city-building experience: watching Rome rise building by building with all those detailed miniatures is genuinely rewarding. Its quick setup and moderate complexity make it a nice middle-weight option for groups wanting a city-builder without an overwhelming learning curve.
