About the game

Century: Golem Edition - Eastern Mountains sends players back to Carvania as crystal traders exploring mountain ranges and valleys to build out a profitable trade network. Using action retrieval, players collect crystal cards, fulfill contracts, and navigate a modular board to gather resources and complete valuable set collection goals. As a reimplementation of Century: Eastern Wonders with vivid manga-inspired art, it keeps the elegant trading loop of the Century series while adding fresh visuals. It supports 2 to 4 players in about 45 minutes, offering a light, engine-building trading experience. It can also be combined with Century: Golem Edition to create the larger 'Call for Adventure' experience.

Hobbli's Notes

Eastern Mountains keeps everything satisfying about the Century series' trading loop while giving it a distinctive manga-inspired visual refresh. We appreciate how the modular board and pick-up-and-deliver movement add spatial decisions beyond the original Spice Road formula. It's an easy, quick-to-teach Euro game that still rewards efficient route and set-collection planning. A great pick for fans of light trading games who want something visually fresh.

What we like

  • An elegant pick-up-and-deliver trading loop combined with modular board exploration.
  • Quick 45-minute playtime with light rules overhead.
  • Combines with other Century Golem games for expanded play options.
  • Vivid manga-inspired artwork sets it apart visually from the rest of the series.

Keep in mind

  • Relatively low direct player interaction compared to more confrontational games.
  • Can feel similar in structure to other entries in the Century series.
  • Offers limited depth for gamers seeking a heavier strategic challenge.

Who it's for

Good for Euro gamers aged 10+ who enjoy light trading and set-collection games, playing in groups of 2-4.
