About the game
Undaunted: Normandy is a two-player deck-building wargame that recreates the push through France after D-Day, with one player commanding American forces and the other German troops. Cards represent your squads and command options, and as units take casualties, cards are permanently removed from your deck, making every loss sting. Modular map tiles recreate different missions from the campaign, offering a series of scenarios rather than one static battlefield. It blends deck-building strategy with genuine wargame tension in an accessible, beginner-friendly package.
Hobbli's Notes
Undaunted: Normandy is a terrific entry point into wargaming for players who love deck-builders, since the deck-thinning mechanic elegantly represents attrition without any fiddly combat charts. The scenario-based campaign structure gives it strong narrative arc across sessions, and the two-player focus makes every decision feel personal and high-stakes. It can feel a touch dry visually compared to miniature-heavy wargames, and balance leans on scenario design.
