About the game
Trapwords is a team-based party game for 4-8 players where two teams of adventurers try to guess secret words while dodging trapwords secretly banned by their opponents. One player gives clues to their team while avoiding words the other team has trapped, making an already tricky word-guessing game deliciously devious. With a fantasy dungeon-crawl theme and roughly 45-minute playtime, it's Taboo with a wickedly competitive twist.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team loves how Trapwords flips the classic Taboo formula by letting the opposing team set the traps, creating a much more interactive and tense party experience. The dungeon-crawl framing adds fun narrative flavor to what's fundamentally a clever word game. It shines best with larger, talkative groups who enjoy quick thinking under pressure.
