About the game
Taboo is a classic party word game where you race to get your teammates to guess a word on a card without saying that word or any of the five forbidden related terms listed beneath it. If you slip and say a taboo word, the opposing team buzzes in and steals the point. Teams alternate racing the clock, trying to guess as many words as possible before time runs out. It's a fast, funny test of vocabulary and quick thinking that's been a party staple for decades.
Hobbli's Notes
Taboo is a timeless party staple for good reason - it's simple, endlessly replayable, and always generates laughs. We recommend it as a reliable go-to whenever a group needs an easy, high-energy icebreaker. Few games balance accessibility and genuine challenge this well.
