About the game

Monikers is a raucous party game about getting your team to guess names from a deck of pop-culture, historical, and downright weird cards. Across three rounds the clues get harder: first you can say almost anything, then only one word, and finally nothing at all but gestures and charades. Designed for larger groups, it's loud, fast, and built for laughs. A mature-content edition means some cards lean adult, so it's best saved for grown-up game nights.

Hobbli's Notes

One of the best party games for big, rowdy groups who already know each other well: inside jokes and pop-culture knowledge make it sing. The final charades-only round is consistently the highlight of any playthrough.

What we like

  • Escalating clue restrictions keep every round fresh.
  • Huge player count supports big group gatherings.
  • Endlessly replayable with new card combinations.
  • Guaranteed laughs from the charades-only final round.

Keep in mind

  • Mature content cards make it unsuitable for kids or mixed company.
  • Requires an outgoing, performative group to shine.
  • Reliant on players knowing the referenced names.

Who it's for

Great for adults and older teens (mature content) in groups of 4-16 who enjoy loud, silly party games at gatherings.
