About the game
A standalone expansion for the raucous party game Monikers, packed with 330 new cards written by the comedy team at Shut Up & Sit Down. Players split into teams and take turns describing, then acting out, then giving single-word clues for the same set of characters and phrases across three increasingly restrictive rounds. It's a game built for laughter, absurdity, and questionable pop-culture references. This edition also revives the beloved 'Twelve Hopelessly Stupid Fourth Rounds.'
Hobbli's Notes
Monikers is one of the funniest party games on the market, and this Shut Up & Sit Down-penned edition leans hard into irreverent, sometimes risqué humor. It plays best with a big, rowdy group willing to be silly and a little embarrassed. The three-round structure (describe, act, one word) is genius for replayability, since the same cards get easier and funnier each round. Just be aware some content is mature, so it's not one for the kids' table.
What we like
- Hilarious, high-energy party format with three distinct clue rounds.
- Scales to huge groups (up to 20 players).
- Writing from Shut Up & Sit Down is consistently clever and funny.
- High replayability thanks to escalating round difficulty.
Keep in mind
- Mature/adult content isn't suitable for kids or all mixed company.
- Requires an outgoing group willing to perform and act silly.
- As an expansion, it works best alongside familiarity with base Monikers.
Who it's for
Best for groups of 4-20 adults and older teens who love party games, acting, and comedy; mature content means it skews 18+.
