About the game

MicroMacro: Crime City - All In continues the acclaimed detective series with 16 new tricky crime cases spread across a huge, seamlessly connected city map. Playing solo or with up to 4 detectives, players scan the massive black-and-white illustration to determine motives, gather evidence, and identify perpetrators, with symbols marking cases for family-friendly play. A included magnifying glass helps with the finest details across the sprawling 75 x 110 cm board. It's fully standalone, requiring no knowledge of the previous entries.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli continues to be delighted by how much storytelling and mystery the MicroMacro series packs into a single hand-drawn map. The deduction here is satisfying without needing complicated rules, making it wonderfully approachable for almost any age. Very low downtime and complexity mean everyone can lean in together over the map at once. The main downside is that solved cases lose their mystery, so replay value depends on having new cases each time (which this expansion nicely provides).

What we like

  • Gorgeous, huge hand-illustrated map packed with detail.
  • Very low complexity and downtime make it accessible to everyone (grade A on both).
  • Satisfying deduction-driven mysteries with real detective work.
  • Fully standalone, so no prior entries in the series are required.

Keep in mind

  • Cases have a fixed solution, so replay value drops once solved.
  • Benefits from a large table or floor space for the big map.
  • Easy to lose track of details across such a busy map.

Who it's for

Perfect for mystery and deduction fans aged 12+, from solo players to families and groups of up to 4.
