About the game

MicroMacro: Crime City hands you and your friends a giant illustrated city map and challenges you to solve a series of crimes by tracing clues across the sprawling artwork. Each case is a visual puzzle: find where someone went, spot a hidden weapon, or piece together an entire crime timeline just by looking closely. It's a wonderfully cooperative, purely deduction-based experience with almost no downtime, since everyone studies the same map together. Sixteen cases offer hours of satisfying detective work.

Hobbli's Notes

MicroMacro: Crime City is a genuine phenomenon: there's nothing quite like huddling around that giant map, magnifying glasses in hand, piecing together a murder. It's cooperative, low-fuss, and endlessly satisfying for anyone who loves a good visual puzzle, and it deservedly earned major industry awards.

What we like

  • Ingenious visual deduction gameplay unlike almost anything else in the hobby.
  • Very low downtime since everyone examines the map together.
  • Sixteen varied cases provide excellent value and replayability.
  • Works beautifully solo or in a group.

Keep in mind

  • Requires good eyesight or magnifying tools to spot small details.
  • Once solved, cases can't be replayed with the same surprise.
