About the game

Concept challenges players to guess a secret word or phrase using only icons placed on a shared board: no talking, no writing, just clever association. A pair of clueing players place tokens on concept icons like 'liquid,' 'white,' or category symbols to guide everyone else toward the answer. Simple concepts and complex ones like movie titles or celebrities are equally fair game. It's an ingenious, endlessly flexible party game for larger groups.

Hobbli's Notes

Concept is a party-game gem because the icon board makes it endlessly flexible: you can clue almost anything, from simple objects to abstract ideas. It scales beautifully for big groups, which is rare for a game with this much clever depth. A must-have for game nights with a wide range of guests.

What we like

  • Clever icon-based clueing system works for nearly any word or phrase.
  • Scales well for large groups of up to 12 players.
  • No language-specific wordplay needed, making it accessible internationally.
  • Team-based clueing encourages fun collaboration.

Keep in mind

  • Can bog down with slower or overly cautious clue-givers.
  • Some phrases are much harder to clue than others, causing imbalance.
  • Requires a shared table and board space for larger groups.

Who it's for

Great for larger mixed groups (10+) of 4-12 players who enjoy communication-limited party and word games.
