About the game
Claustrophobia 1643 is an asymmetric miniatures survival game set in dark, claustrophobic catacombs, pitting a small band of human survivors against a demonic horde. One player commands tougher, outnumbered humans while the other controls swarms of weaker demons across modular dungeon tiles. Dice-based combat and simple, thematic rules keep games fast and tense, playable in around an hour. Twenty included scenarios offer varied objectives, from escaping the dungeon to closing infernal portals.
Hobbli's Notes
This is a tense, atmospheric two-player dungeon crawl that leans hard into theme over crunchy strategy. The asymmetric human-versus-horde setup creates a satisfying push-and-pull, and the low rules overhead keeps sessions moving briskly. Miniature painters and horror fans will get extra enjoyment from the presentation. It's best enjoyed by a duo who like a climactic, dice-driven showdown rather than deep long-term planning.
