About the game

Project: ELITE puts 1-4 players in command of a special ops squad defending Earth against an alien invasion in real time. Rolling speed dice as fast as possible, you shoot, cut, and maneuver through waves of aliens while racing to complete mission objectives before the clock runs out. Two-minute real-time rounds alternate with an Alien Phase where the AI-controlled invaders advance and receive reinforcements. The unpredictable "Alien Move" symbol on every die keeps tension high, forcing you to balance your own actions against the enemy's relentless advance.

Hobbli's Notes

The real-time speed-dice format gives Project: ELITE a jolt of adrenaline that most cooperative games don't attempt, and it works well for groups who like a bit of chaos with their tactics. The built-in solo mode makes it a strong pick even without a full team. Not for players who prefer slow, methodical planning, but a blast for those who want their co-op games fast and physical.

What we like

  • Real-time speed-dice rolling creates genuine urgency.
  • Strong solo mode makes it playable alone.
  • Fast, tactile tower-defense-style gameplay.
  • Escalating alien waves keep tension building throughout.

Keep in mind

  • Real-time pressure can be stressful for some players.
  • Heavy reliance on dice results over deep strategy.
  • Chaotic pace may not suit players who prefer deliberate planning.
